"We couldn’t be happier with our IEC fan coils! I will never build another hotel with PTAC units. As far as we’re concerned, an IEC fan coil system is the only way to go when building hotels."

Wally Allen, Sr., CEO New Projects LTD, LLC

IEC's UMOD - Universal Modular On Demand 3-Week Quick-Ship Program appears in the NEWS' July 20, 2009 "What's New" section.

The Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration News July 20, 2009 "What's New" section features International Environmental Corporation's UMOD - Universal Modular On Demand
3-Week Quick-Ship Program. IEC feels that this program will give our Reps a competitive advantage in the Modular Hi-Rise market place.

IEC's Universal Mod, known as the UMOD, is designed as a cost effective, easy to install, vertical high-rise fan coil unit. The main benefit includes the ability to accommodate any arrangement through the use of supply air, outside air, electrical, and riser slot knock-outs. All UMODs ship with risers and deco panels included but not installed to each unit. Risers ship loose so the mechanical contractor has better accessibility for fire safing between floors at the riser block-outs and for testing the field joints from riser to riser.

When the UMOD units are distributed in the building, there is a reduction in job site coordination time as related to specific arrangements of return air/supply, air/riser orientation. All UMODS have the ability to conform to any arrangement thus saving the time to coordinate. All that is necessary is that a specific tag number is placed in the correct location. Arrangements are then tailored to the specific need in each room.

UMOD units can be designed for all types of systems, including 4-pipe, 2-pipe heat/cool, 2-pipe with auxiliary electric heat or 2-pipe with total electric heat. UMOD 3-Week Quick-Ship units range in size from 300 nominal CFM through 800 nominal CFM.

The UMODs use the same replacement parts as IEC's standard modular hi-rise units. IEC has made purchasing replacement parts even easier with a quick turnaround parts department and online parts lookup.
